Day 01 / Feb 12, 2012
ARRIVAL - MADABA -MT. NEBO - AMMAN (D)
Arrive at Amman Airport. After airport formalities, board your coach and prepare for your tour, visit Madaba, the land of Fruit and water. Here you will visit the Church of St. George where you can see the oldest surviving mosaic map of the Holyland. Continue to Mt. Nebo believed to be the burial site of Moses. Enjoy a spectacular view of the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea. Transfer to your hotel. Check in, dinner and overnight.


Day 02 / Feb 13
PETRA EXCURSION (B, D)  
Today, you will visit the fabled “Red Rose City” of Petra, the 2000 year old Nabatean capital, now one of the world’s wonders. Take a horse ride to the Siq. Then walk to the Treasury, a rose colored monumental building artfully carved out of sheer rock. Visit the other temples and tombs carved into the mountain-side. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 03 / Feb 14
The Treasury in Petra
AMMAN - ALLENBY BORDER -JERUSALEM (D)
Drive to Allenby Border and cross into Israel. Arrive in Jerusalem, rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner and overnight in your hotel.

Day 04 / Feb 15
JERUSALEM -BETLEHEM (B,D)
Drive to the Mount of Olives for a panoramic view of the city. Enter the Old City and walk through Armenian and Jewish quarters to the recently excavated and re-stored Cardo, the Roman road. See the Jewish Wailing Wall, the Kotel, and continue to the Christian quarter. Walk along the Via Dolorosa and visit the Church of Nativity and Manger’s Square. Back to your hotel for an overnight.

Day 05 / Feb 16
CAESAREA, HAIFA, ACRE and ROSH HANIKRA (B, D)
Drive along the coastal road to Caesarea, the ancient Roman capital and port, with a walking tour of the theatre and the archaeological ruins and excavations. Continue to Haifa, with a scenic view of the city and the port and its Bahai Gardens. Continue via Nahariya to Rosh Hanikra to visit the limestone grottos on the border with Lebanon. Next stop in Acre to visit the Crusaders and Turkish under-ground city and crypt. Walk through the Old City and the Oriental Market, the Arab Mosque and the Old Port. Return to point of departure.

Day 06 / Feb 17
GALILEE AREA (B, D)
Depart via the Coastal Road and the landscape of the Lower Galilee to Nazareth, the town where Jesus spent his childhood. Visit the Church of Annunciation and the Church of St. Joseph. Continue, via Kana to Tiberias, the lovely resort town. Drive along the Lake Kinnereth to visit Capernaum and view the ruins of the ancient synagogue where Jesus taught. Continue to Taiga, the sight of the Miracle of Fish and Loaves, located at the foot of the Golan Heights. Continue to Yardenit, the famous baptismal site, where the Jordan River leaves the Sea of Galilee towards the Dead Sea. Back to your hotel for overnight.

Day 07 / Feb 18
JERUSALEM - ALLENBY BORDER - AMMAN
Drive to Allenby Border and cross into Amman. Arrive in Amman. Transfer to Amman airport for departure flight.
